Five steps to improve your skin

1. Stress Relief: We don’t give enough credit to this oppressive disease for the damage it causes. We think about what we can do in a tangible way to help our skin. I got it. I’m an action girl myself, however, stress can cause a lot of discord in the body so it’s worth learning about ways to relieve stress. A lot of research has been done on meditation and an app that I love is called “Insight Timer”. You can listen to a short meditation for free while stressing in just a few minutes. What do you have to lose? 😰

2. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Water, water, water! I have met many people over the years who cannot stand the taste of water. 60% of your body is made up of water. Think about it. If you don’t replenish your water, you’ll end up with dry, dehydrated skin and looking dull, gray, and dry. Take the time to search for the kind of water you like to drink. Squeeze it with some lime juice or toss some cucumber in your water for a better taste. Divide your weight by 2 and convert that to ounces. That is the amount of water your body needs on a daily basis. It will improve your skin,

3. Choosing the right skin care line for your skin with active ingredients will make all the difference. A lot of products in the grocery store contain water, fillers, irritants, and ingredients that cause acne (causing breakouts on the skin). The amount of active ingredients that actually make a difference to your skin is minimal. Choosing a Skin Care Professional to help you choose the right product for your skin condition or to maintain your skin is key. 😍

4. Professional Skin Treatment is a must. While I personally prefer to work with your skin consistently every few weeks for best results, not everyone has the time or money to make this kind of commitment. However, you are the only one who can prioritize your skin. If you need a budget-friendly plan, go for a facial every 3 months. This will give your skin a wonderful exfoliation and hydration session along with consulting with an Esthetician about your skin’s progress. Similarly, if buying professional products seems financially difficult, you can budget to add one or two products per month until you have a full line of pro. ✅

5. Calm down the showers. After a long day, tight muscles make many people like to take a bath. There are usually several showers during the day. Have you seen the funny posts of Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis? They received great disappointment for not bathing their child daily, however, they handled the verdict brilliantly. The truth is if you could remove the skin’s natural oils from the skin’s lipid barrier. It can make the skin dry and damaged. If you don’t want to shower multiple times a day, at least take a warm shower and switch to a rinse mode. 🚿🛀
